Why Use Synthetic Lubrication?

Amsoil Independant Dealer #30598571
As a small engine repair shop we see the damage done by equipment being run with bad gas and poor lubrication. Mainly, what we see has to do with carbon build up and ethanol issues. Often we have people coming in complaining about lack of power and acceleration in their equipment. Most often this is caused by carbon build up in the exhaust port or spark arrestor. This back pressure can also lead to seals leaking causing the engine to run lean shortening the life of the engine. Another problem is excessive carbon on the piston that makes it run hot from friction and cause it to cease. As a mechanic, I went on a quest to find an oil mix that runs clean and has superior lubrication qualities. I know manufacturers of outdoor power equipment have their own oils, but do they make them? Who is in charge of variations in the blends? We sell oils packaged under the manufacturers names, and they stand behind them, so who am I to complain? If I never questioned anything, I would be OK with that. To me, I believe sometimes it's better to go with a product someone specializes in. On my search for something better, I found Amsoil Saber and other Amsoil products fitting the bill. The Saber has been tested, and passed 2 stroke lubrication standards even at 300:1. They label it to mix at 100:1, although you can mix it from 50:1 or 80:1 if you prefer. So far, the landscapers, tree services, and chainsaw mechanics, that I've seen, mix it from 80:1 or 100:1.

In 2023 it's going to be important to keep you small outdoor power equipment maintained and in top running condition. In 2024 we won't be able to sell a lot of the gas powered equipment used in the landscaping tree cutting business. So it's going to be important to make the equipment you have last. Hopefully, we can help you do that, through proper maintenance and the best lubrication available.

We are now an independent Amsoil dealer and carry most of the lubrication products for our industry. We also use Amsoil products for our car and truck. If we don't have it in the store you can order online what you need, and have it delivered to your door, for free on orders over $100. You can also become a Preferred Customer and save up to 25% on your order.
